I was one of only two girls to complete Tech Ed at my high school and have always had an interest and nack for all those hands on tasks around the home.  I recognised a need for a deck maintenance business in Toowoomba after dipping my toe in handywoman work both here and in Brisbane.  After many requests for deck oiling I decided to specialise in this field exclusively, and established Toowoomba Deck Maintenance.

My Husband Peter joined the business a few years ago and has helped us grow.  He specialises in the quoting and scheduling side of the business so he will likely be the first face you see!  We value quality, communication, and honesty, so we never skimp on the quality of the materials we use, we show up when we say we will, we provide itemised quotes, and we discuss with you the process and reasoning behind why what we recommend for your job.

We also aim to give you a great experience, as well as a great result.  This means we return your calls, we quote promptly, we discuss the details of the job with you in plain English, our crew clean up after themselves, and Peter does a follow-up quality check.  If there is an issue with our workmanship, we will return and make any required touch ups.

We can strip the current finish off your deck to reveal the original timber beneath, ready to apply a fresh seal of oil.  We have had many happy clients who are surprised with how good their decks look after this treatment!  There are many benefits to this approach including: It is not as harsh as sanding, you don't end up with defects from the large commercial drum sanders, and the chemical treatments brightens the appearance of the decking boards. This will bring old sad looking decks back to life!

Painting your deck can be a great option if you are after something that is low cost to get done, is low maintenance and is easy to clean.  We like using Cabot's Deck and Exterior Paint.

Unlike oil, paint can be applied on a surface that has a previous coating that isn't in great shape.  This means you don't have to get the previous finish sanded off, giving you a significant cost savings.
